How can i get world cup tickets for the us game against italy on June 17th, 2006?

Kinda spooked by the RFID chip inside the ticket that contains passport info etc....and getting them transferred into my name and not getting ripped off on the net

I'm currently on a priority list with ussoccer.com, they just received a new allotment of tix from FIFA. I attempted to get tix a couple months ago and they sold out.

What I hear though, is that you may have a good chance of getting tix once you're there at the stadium.

i checked the fifa world cup official web site and tickets aren't even available, but if you were wanting some then i would just wait and go to that website seings how it is the official world cup website.

I was told that www.fifaboard.com gives out free ticket for FIFA 2010. Check it out.

The FIFA Board will certainly get them free as will thousands of other rich and famous. The rest of us mere mortals will have to buy them, unfortunately.
As a matter of interest South Africans will be able to buy them for a tenner, whereas the rest of us will have to pay from £100 upwards. So make friends with a SA resident soon. lol

If you meant the Final Cup match... Scott Dobie!?!!! Are you kidding me? You can have a photo shoot with Kate Moss anytime (in the next 4 years), but the World Cup happens only every 4 years. So I strongly suggest you see the match. If you really are dying for Kate Moss (lol), I suggest you hand over the tickets to some-football crazy person you know as a repayment of a favour he/she did for you. Believe me, it will count!!

How can you tell whether a ticket for the 2006 World Cup is genuine, just by looking at it?

I have read that there are ways to tell if the tickets are genuine, including the hologram in the top right hand corner, which should say Germany 2006, and the ticket should have indented left and right sides. There should also be a perforation on the right-hand side.

What should the indentations look like and is there anything else to look for?

Hold the ticket into the air and see if you can see the microchips inside it. make sure its allocated by FIFA and FIFA alone not the FA UEFA or anyone else like that.
